We present in the following some terms and conditions preset that any person must meet in order to rent a car in Romania.
Minimum age to rent a car in Romania is 21 years. Since the minimum legal age at which a person may hold a driving license for the B category is 18, and to sign a lease for a car rental companies require the permit to have a length of at least 12 months, settlement reached this age required to be eligible. In other countries, this statement is up to 25 years, people who are between 21 and 24 years may pay a surcharge.
Besides the vlid driving license you need to present an ID or a valid identity card. If you are outside the country and want to rent a car during your stay, you can present a valid passport to the car rental company.
Rent a car length varies from several hours to several days and even weeks. In Romania, the minimum duration for which you can rent a car is 48 hours, so 2 days. Rental cost is negotiated directly with the suppliers, being stipulated in the lease. Since the entry into force of the contract, the customer is responsible for the integrity of the car, any damage brought to is being paid by the client. Customer agrees not to charge the car over the supported weight , not to tow other vehicles or trailer, not to transport people or objects for onerous purposes, to secure the car every time it is empty. Basically, the customer is obliged to treat like he owns the car during the car rental period and respond appropriately to it.
Any person who will drive the rented car, other than the person stipulated in the car rental contract, must be mentioned in the lease, and present at the time of its signing. Like the lease signateur, he will show to the provider, a valid driver’s liscense and identity card. The person who has rented the vehicle shall be responsible for any damage caused by another driver or passenger.
Car must be returned exactly at the date specified in the car rental contract. In case of delay, an additional fee will be applied for each day. The vehicle will be returned in the same condition in which it was delivered, technically unaffected, do not show any damage on the outside and have a full tank, like the moment when the car was delivered.
